The Koinonia movement is strong in Lewistown. Our church has the honor of having first brought Koinonia to this area and of hosting it today.
The Koinonia weekend is held annually, usually in January or February, and First Presbyterian Church’s involvement is very much in line with our ongoing effort to reach out to the community.
Working closely with other churches throughout Central Montana, members of our congregation help host the Koinonia weekend and ongoing monthly meetings held afterward.
Those attending a Koinonia weekend have the opportunity for Christian and spiritual growth, discovering a broader experience of life through Christian community, developing a deeper relationship with Christ, spiritual renewal and a great time with great people.
The weekend is structured around a series of talks followed by small group discussion. There is time for quiet reflection as well as interaction with others. It is a fun weekend...You likely will laugh during the weekend...You may cry.
You will be well fed, and you will go away with a refreshed spirit and different understanding of what Christianity is all about and how best you want your faith walk in it to go.
